Okay, it's definitely becoming more real now. We are in our 30th week of pregnancy which means only about 10 more weeks for Ella to get here and lots to do! You can see how big I'm getting in this picture and as evidenced by my rosy cheeks the heat has started here in good 'ol Sacramento. It's officially high 90's and the summer has started. We are in full swing with our classes to learn about childbirth, caring for baby, first aid and all sorts of other important facts through our hospital. We are also scheduled to take the "stork tour" of the hospital in mid-July which I thought was a cute name so we can learn about where everything is when the big day comes. Jake is being a great daddy already by putting together the nursery. You can see the walls behind me are the newly painted colors with the chair rail up and ready to go. He's finishing that up plus putting all the furniture together by the end of June. He's going to be such a great Dad! Happy Father's day Jake!

3rd Trimester

Well, we had a wonderful bay area small family shower last Sunday thrown by my Aunt Lisa and Great Aunt Lois (pictured here). They were such great hosts and we had such a nice time lunching over all the pink girly items. It was very nice to see all of our bay area friends and family and just start the baby celebrations! Things are becoming more real now and Jake spent all weekend painting the room so we're making great progress on the nursery. We'll be picking up the furniture tomorrow and start putting that together the end of this month as well. We've also started signing up for classes so we can feel extra prepared when Ella decides to make her entrance into this world. Hope all is well with our friends and family. More to come on nursery updates as I upload those photos! 28 weeks done...12 weeks to go!
