Baby Ella Rae Anderson was born on Wednesday September 3rd at 9:35pm. She weighed 7lbs 7 oz and was 20 1/4" long. The labor and delivery was a little bit long because Caitlin had to be induced on Tuesday the 2nd at 2pm in the afternoon and we had Ella at 9:35pm the next night. All in all, Jake was a great coach and we endured together only to realize the greatest miracle we've ever experienced, the birth of our first daughter. We are just so happy and loving every minute that we get to know her more. Of course we're tired as well as I don't think our cute little one is much of a sleeper but hopefully in a few days we'll get down more of a pattern. All of your love and support is wonderful and we'll keep sending photos as we take them (which will be very often). Happy Birthday Ella!
Here are some cute photos of Ella during her first week at home. Our neighbor got her these new born ugg boots so we had to put them on right away and take a picture even if it is 90 degrees outside. We are having so much fun discovering each other as we embark on this new thing called parent hood. We've had some great help with Grandma Laurie last week and Grandma Lenell this week to keep things running smoothly around the house. We are getting up with her about every 3 hours at night and learning how to tag team the parenting responsibilities. All in all, it's pretty much what you would expect every young family with a newborn to be like; lots of home time (ready for the new TV season to start as we're watching a lot of friends re-runs right now), lack of sleep, lots of cuddling and just staring at our new little bundle of joy. It's all a great experience and we're enjoying each day as we know she'll grow up very fast and it won't be long before we can't hold her with one hand like we can now!
