11 weeks

Ella is 11 weeks old today. Almost 3 months! The pictures are of her all bundled up for an early evening walk in Danville, one of her favorite rain forest bouncer (she figured out how to hit the animals to make the lights go on), and lastly of her new favorite past time sucking her fist. She had her first set of shots last week and that was pretty traumatic but we got through it. She was a champ and afterwards just slept a lot and wanted to be cuddled, but it broke our hearts to see her wail in that doctor's office when they stuck her with the needle. Poor little thing. Anyways, she's growing like a weed and is now up to 12 pounds 10 oz and 24" long. She's in the 75% for weight and head circumference and 50% for height. Pretty average to slightly above average which is great. She's getting a lot more communicative with her baby talk and smiling a lot more. I discovered this morning she loves to be sung to so I'll have to get the vocal cords working again. Here are a few cute photos to hold you over. I'll post some after thanksgiving as well when we get together with the whole family in the bay. Have a great holiday!

Halloween Sunflower

Well Ella had a great halloween as a Sunflower. Between the costume parties, fall chili cookoffs, Apple Hill adventure, and Mommy and me costume group (pictured with her friend Megan on the right). After all of that she is done wearing her Sunflower outfit and she slept through Halloween night because it was just all too exciting for an 8 week old. She is making her first trip to the bay area this weekend for my Dad's birthday so that is exciting and we'll kick off a busy November with Jake traveling for his new job and Caitlin & Ella with trips to the bay to spend time with family while he's away. The rain has started as well so we're excited to really get into the late fall season at home. Talk to you all soon!
